Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Easy Share: File Transfer ("the app", "we") accesses on your device, why, and what happens to it.
Summary
- The app transfers files directly between devices that are near each other. Your files do not pass through our servers; we do not operate any server that receives them.
- The app has no user accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.
- We receive information from you only if you choose to send us feedback by email.
Information the app accesses on your device
The app needs access to the following in order to work. This information stays on your device, or goes only to the device you choose to share with.

How transfers work
- Phone to phone. Devices discover each other using Google's Nearby Connections (part of Google Play services) and exchange files over Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi Direct, a temporary hotspot or your local Wi‑Fi network. A pairing code or QR code is shown on both devices so you can confirm you are connecting to the right one. - Share with PC. When you start this feature, the app runs a small web server on your phone that is reachable by devices on the same Wi‑Fi network. Anyone on that network who opens the address shown can download the files you selected and upload files to your phone until you press Stop or leave the screen. Use it only on networks you trust.
Files you send are stored on the receiving device and are then under the control of that device's owner.
Information we receive
Feedback you send us. If you use "Send Feedback", your email app opens a message addressed to us containing your text, any screenshots you attach, your device model and your Android version. It is sent only if you press send in your email app. We use it to answer you and to fix problems, and we keep it for as long as needed for that purpose.
We do not receive anything else from the app.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not show ads or use advertising identifiers.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
- We do not upload your files, contacts, location or app list to any server.
Data stored on your device
The app keeps a transfer history (file names, sizes, the other device's name, time and result) and your settings (language, theme) on your device. You can remove this by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. Files you received remain in Download/EasyTransfer until you delete them.
Permissions
You can review and withdraw permissions at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Easy Share: File Transfer → Permissions. Some features will not work without the related permission.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Transfers take place directly between devices and require you to accept the connection. No method of transfer is completely secure; do not accept connections or files from people you do not know.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be noted in the app's store listing or in the app.
